The finale this year is based on the theme “I’m Alive” with music by will.i.am and Justin Bieber. Below are the phrases that you need to learn before your performance day. When copying the videos, please mirror the actions so that everything starts on the right. Costume for the finale is anything in black (shorts, leggings, tracksuit bottoms, t shirts, vests etc)

Video Clip One:The Whole Dance.
This shows all sections of the dance when they are put together and will help you to see when to enter and where your section fits.
The dance is divided into sections:
Section 1 0-58 performed by one dancer from each school
Section 2 58-2.14 performed by secondary schools
Section 3 2.14-3.50 performed by primary schools
Section 4 3.50-4.48 performed by Y 1, 2, 3
Video Clip Two
Section 1: Performed by a solo dancer from each school.
Please choose one dancer from your school to perform this section. They need to enter the stage from the wings performing either cartwheels, backflips, walkovers, arab springs or any other trick travelling across the stage and ending in a strong freeze position-8 counts. Learn the rest of the phrase on the clip and at the end of the phrase return to the wings to join the rest of your school unless you are from a secondary school, in which case you remain on stage.

Section 2 Performed by Secondary School Dancers
At the end of section one, secondary school dancers have 2x8 counts to run into a space on the stage before the phrase begins. You have the whole stage to fill. On the lyric “I’m a take you higher” secondary dancers move to the back of the stage to make way for the primary dancers to enter.

At the end of the secondary section, primary dancers enter the stage skipping from the wings 4x8 counts to get into position. They then repeat the secondary phrase until the lyric “Keeping Burning Like A Fire” when everyone goes down.
Choose 5 dancers from your school to perform strong actions to the following lyrics
Dancer 1: Jump up and perform actions to
“Whatever doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger” and hold strong pose
Dancer 2: Jump up and perform to
“So Imma get stronger” and hold strong pose
Dancer 3: Jump up and perform actions to
“Call me like a veteran, veteran” and hold strong pose
Dancer 4: Jump up and perform to
“I lock it down and go again” and hold strong pose
Dancer 5: Jump up and perform to
"Call me like a veteran veteran"
On the lyric “ I lock lock it down and go again go again” all five dancers sink to the floor.
Primary and Secondary perform the “I’m alive I’m alive" phrase together and then march on the spot 4x8 counts as the Y1,2 and 3 enter the stage.
Everyone performs the Y1, 2 and 3 phrase in unison and then a final Mexican Wave to finish.

Y1, 2 and 3 enter from the wings marching to the front of the stage and perform the phrase on video clip 5.
If you would like to perform the primary section too, you are very welcome. The decision is up to you...just trying to keep it simple for the little ones.
